#13 - Imperception

#13 “Imperception”
G. A. Porter
Oil on canvas – April, 2007
72.5 x 60.5 cm. (20F) + frame
Imperception is the lack of perception.
The total separation of contrasting mediums:
Solid and gas, Wrong and right.
Hot and cold, Black and white.
Truth and falsehood, Darkness and light.
True perception requires the blending of extremes to create life:
By dust and breath, Meaning has depth.
By moon and sun, Light casts shadows.
Through good and evil,
Human value and morality can be understood.
When duality is present, and separation is imposed,
then perception is lost.
